Day 1 with my team! I had alot of time to pray/think about my new team, it’s been weird for sure. After breakfast, we had team prayer, a time of praise and worship, with Team 10, Eddie and Joey D’s team. From there, we had lunch, ice breaker questions, and dyads with our teammates. Dyads are just simple 1-on-1’s with people, and they are very common early on the road. From there, we played mixed Team 9&10 and played volleyball for awhile, which was so much fun. After, we cleaned up Camp Wapo, and prepared to head out. This is likely my last day ever at Wapo, which even when writing this doesn’t seem to process. I appreciate Wapo so much for all the lessons and healing it brought me, and I will never forget the great times I had the past two years there. Once we got back, I called my family, and spent some time with the guys on my team. Looking forward to the weird bedtime memories we will make together. . . Today is a No-obligation day, just time for us to relax, or in our case, catch up on everything. Since we have been disconnected from the world, I spent a good amount of my day calling my family and friends, catching up with what has happened the past two weeks with them. It was also a great time to get to know my Co-leader, Grace. We took an hour-long walk around the area, and it was definitely a great start to a long journey ahead. We also had mass with the Archbishop of SPM, Archbishop Hebda! It was a great day to relax and catch up. . . Today was a mix of work and fun. We started off with prayer and breakfast like always, and had team photos! Usually after the team photos every team does a fun photoshoot, and ours was ALOT of fun, photos will be on the way. We did laundry, which was difficult because of the national coin shortage and all the banks being closed due to labor day, but we figured it out. That evening we had men’s session, where I got to hear all my brother’s testimonies, which are SO fire! I’m excited for them to share it with the retreatants. They are all feeling pretty solid about them too, which is so so great! This week will be intense for sure, with Team Leader Training. I’m looking forward to it, though! Ready for the challenge ahead, be sure to check in soon!
