The lake is even prettier at 7am. I woke up a bit earlier to go journal at the dock right before mass, and it was worth it! It was so pretty watching the sun slowly rise above the trees, as the wind blew towards me, giving me chills of relief. It would not be the last time I would reflect there, thats for sure. . . I had alot on my mind. There was something that always held me back, and I wanted to give it up this week to God. It would take alot of work, but I was ready. My first action was to talk to a priest, where I met Fr. Angelus from New York. I never heard a priest say “bro” more in my life, but he was fantastic and gave me great advice, wanting me to continue fighting with it. So i will, but it doesnt mean I’m done yet. . . Adoration was like no other. The singing was immaculate, the missionaries were focused, and it allowed me to help better myself internally. Continuing from last night, I repeated to myself “I am your Son, I am your servant”, and it finally worked!! I truly took those words to heart and I was so beyond grateful. . . Towards the end of adoration, we sung the divine mercy, which I had done before for adoration, but this was different. When they hit the chorus, “His name is Jesus”, over 100 missionaries in front of me and behind me stuck their hands out towards the monstrance praising Him simultaneously, and I was starstruck. I had never seen anything like it!! It made me even more thankful for even being here. If this is just full day one of Wapo, I am in for a treat.
