Get ready for a doozy of a day, easily the most spiritually powerful one yet.

I woke up at 6:30, and hour n a half before breakfast. So i sat in bed, finished my day 2 reflection, and posted it on the blog while everyone else was waking up. Before breakfast, I walked around the NET center, and was in awe by the nature surrounding the building. It made me desire to explore what was around me.

We got the chance after breakfast with personal prayer time. We had an hour before our first workshop, so I packed my backpack and began walking. I miss the trees of Washington. Its something I always took for granted, but fortunately God has given me another chance here in Minnesota. Its such a refreshing feeling to see green around me, and something I truly adore. Something I also missed though was urbanized streets filled with stores and cars. Thats what I got to explore today for my personal prayer on my nature walk, just reminiscing on my home. It was crazy hoe refreshing it was to see a par 4 golf course, a chipotle, and a gas station serving $2.58 per gallon. It was amazing walkin down the middle of a residential street with a backpack on, the same way I walked home from school off the bus. I clearly miss home, but its nice to see sorts of replicates around West St. Paul.

After personal prayer we had a 2-hour session about Worship: not just who we worship, but what we worship. There is a constant battle on who and what we worship, whether is our significant others, phones, and money that always face-up against God that we must fight against. The speaker also points out that as long as we have working bodies, we should use it for worshipping God.

Right before we began a praise and worship session, our speaker asked to check our motive for why we sing, which hit me different. I sing because I love to sing, but not loving to sing for our God. So throughout the praise and worship I kept asking God to be my motive to sing, and repeated, “You are my reason” in between songs. Finally it hit me right in the chest, and I connected praise and worship with worshipping God. I was relieved. Now i will continue to build off of the connection I made from the cross to my heart.

I know its been only half a day, but I must put my phone away for Camp Wapo. I will be gone for two weeks without my phone focusing on my spiritual life and my fellow missionaries. Cant wait to blog again soon, but until then take care!!
