Thursday was a filler day, nothing much happened besides alot of rain and preparation for the upcoming weekend retreat. It was a Confirmation weekend retreat, Friday-Sunday, and we would lead 80 youth from St. Vincent de Paul Parish from Brooklyn Park, MN at the NET Center with Teams 1 & 2. It was an insanely tough retreat, easily the hardest Ive ever had to lead. Over half the kids were forced to be there, and even more didnt want to be there, so it was hard to even open them up to the faith or God for that matter. Personally it was a very interesting retreat. My small group did not connect at all spiritually, but they all connected socially. They spent all their downtime together, and i saw them laughing and enjoying their time the whole weekend, which was actually nice. So it was… successful? I guess? You be the judge. I havent had a chance to do anything crazy yet, no testimonies or talks, but im waiting patiently for my opportunity.
