You may or may not be wondering what “Me-We-God-You-We” means. Thats the outline of our talks, and the different transitions they should make. MWGYW is supposed to concisely share the Gospel with the youth in about 10 minutes, because no middle schooler/high schooler wants to hear a 30 minute talk on anything. Its a very simple outline, but it can be extremely difficult based on the talk you give. Different talks are given based on different topics and retreats, such as Confirmation, Men’s only, Women’s only, and others. Hopefully I am able to get this method down on whatever talk I give. . . They didnt tell us until after dinner, but I knew something was coming. The men all ate together while the women prepared for the Women’s Liturgy for the evening, and thats when they broke the news. After learning how to honor our sisters in Christ, we were going to apply these lessons by throwing them a surprise party. The plan: When the women begin singing the closing song of the liturgy, “King of My Heart”, the men, dressed up in shirt and tie, would enter singing the bridge and last chorus. Once finished, some of us will run back to the decorated dining hall to prepare ice cream, while the rest would escort the women from the Crossfire to the dining hall, and spend the evening with them. Everything went according to plan, and many of the women cried because of the beautiful surprise. When we thought the night ended, the men and wen were surprised with a dance party for the last 30 minutes of the night. Everyone was going hard at the cleanest of songs, and everyone was having a ball. It was so much fun partying with everyone, but doing it for the sisters made it all the better. No better way to spend my night.
